Arriving in the UK


Before you arrive in the UK, we recommend that you book our Airport Transfer Service.


We will arrange for a taxi to collect you at the airport and take you to your accommodation. We can also book you a taxi to take you back to the airport when you leave.

Prices are for single journeys. Prices given are to central London and will vary depending on how close your accommodation is to your airport.


Waiting time if you or your flight are delayed more than one hour: £20 per hour.


Minibus prices are available on request.

 

We advise you to book our airport taxi pick up service to ensure safe and comfortable transfer to your place of accommodation.

How to travel from Airport to GLC


Your journey time and cost from the airport will vary depending on where your accommodation is. Once you have booked your course and accommodation, our office will tell you the location of your accommodation so you can plan your journey there from the airport. Below are the main routes into Central London from the main airports and from the Eurostar terminal:

 

Heathrow: Heathrow airport is on the Piccadilly Underground Line and tube trains run from there into Central London taking about 45-60 minutes depending on your final destination. You can buy a Zone 1-6 one day travel card for this journey. Check TFL for different types of tickets and prices.

 

You can also get the ‘Heathrow Express’. This is a fast train service to take you to Paddington Train Station, a central location, in just 15 minutes. Gatwick: The best way to get from Gatwick to London is using the ‘Gatwick Express’ train. This takes about 30 minutes from Gatwick to London Victoria Station in the centre of London. London City: From London City Airport you can take a DLR (Docklands Light Railway) train into the centre of London and then change onto an Underground Line to take you to your accommodation. St. Pancras (Eurostar): St Pancras train station is serviced by 6 London Underground lines as well as bus routes. From here it will therefore be possible to take an Underground train or a bus to your accommodation. You can buy a Zone 1-6 day travel card for this journey. Global London College is located just 10 minutes by bus 63 and bus 45 to St. Pancras, so those arriving at St. Pancras and staying at the London Central on-site Residence may like to take a local taxi from the rank at the station.
