POWER OF ENGLISH PROFICIENCY

According to the English Effect, a report issued by the British Council, 1.75 billion people spoke English to a useful level worldwide in 2013. Now in 2022, it is projected that there are over 2 billion English speakers across the globe. This includes those who speak English as a second language (ESL).

 

According to recent studies, individuals with strong English language skills are significantly more likely to secure employment compared to their counterparts with limited proficiency. Proficient English language skill is the Sixth most required skill overall, highlighting the indispensable role of English in the contemporary job market.

 

Employers worldwide consistently prioritize candidates with excellent English communication skills. Around 95% of hiring managers expressed a strong preference for candidates who are proficient in English. This preference stems from the understanding that effective communication is fundamental to success in today’s diverse and interconnected workplaces.
